Meet Ariel

Ariel believes that being a therapist is a way of life.  It’s helping others reconnect back into their bodies and getting to know their soul.  Ariel graduated with her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Nevada Reno, a CECREP accredited school.  While she was in attendance, she was part the Chi Sigma Iota Fraternity which is an honors fraternity.  In 2011 Ariel sat for the National Counselors Examination and passed, giving her the credentials NCC, Nationally Certified Counselor.

Helping people heal from Trauma and Eating Disorders has been the driving passion for Ariel and, for this reason, Ariel has been tailoring her education to help these specific populations.  She did internships at Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive outpatients that were specific to Eating Disorders.  Ariel developed groups and curriculums such as Body Image, Meal Exposures, DBT, ACT, and Trauma Skills. In 2018 Ariel completed the rigorous process to become a CEDS, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist.   She has become EMDR and Brain spotting trained because these are leading modalities that treat PTSD.

In 2021 Ariel completed her goal of becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher.  She has been practicing yoga since 2005 and is excited to add this somatic work to her therapy clients.  Research has shown how important the mind body connection is to healing and trauma recovery.

Because of her breadth of experience, Ariel has frequently been asked to be a guest lecture, presenter, and blog writer.  She enjoys consulting with other clinicians and supporting their growth as healers.

When Ariel is not sitting with clients, she is spending time with her family. Which includes her husband, son and a wildly hyper dog.
